Havethe car warmed up- that means driven at least 15-20 miles. Put it in park on level ground and pull the dipstick for it to see if or where it is on the stick. As long as it's not BROWN or discolored and anywhere in the checkered area of the dipstick- meaning less than a pint low it's ok. If you are having a problem take it to a trans shop and have them drive it to give a quick diagnosis. It should n't have to come apart to diagnose any problem with it.
