My back right taillight won't work. I keep replacing the bulb but it won't work. The front one blinks real fast as if the back is burnt out. I know this part was recalled on my car a couple of years ago and it was fixed for free under warranty. Byt when I call chevy they tell me that it's my responsibility since my car isn't under warranty anymore.

Is there a way to fix this at home? I think it has to be some type of wire issue

With the front one blinking fast, to me it sounds like the socket could be correded or a bad ground or a bad bulb. Remove the socket and clean it out. Replace with a new bulb. Just a little dirt will make it for a bad connection. Check to see if it has a good ground.

Incentives by manufacurerer to buy anothe car

Follow Mike's advice, in the event it is stil a problem, I would lean towards a socket based on how many I have come across.
