The car started actin like the transmisson was slipping then the check engine light came on now it acts like it doesnt wanna shift or anything. I took it and had it scanned to see what codes it was throwin and it says the the tranmission torgue converter is stuck on. Do I have to replace the transmission or just the torgue converter and how much money am I lookin at spendin?

The torque converter can be replaced separate from the transmission but the tranny still has to be removed to replace the converter.

I priced replacing the torque converter in my 01 and it was over 300.00 and a junk yard transmission is less expensive.
