2002 Chevy Cavalier potential causes and repair options

The charging system light has started coming on today, and this just started about 4 hours ago.

Take car to any autoparts store for a free charging system test.
Do this during day, so you do not use any unnecessary loads on alt. (Headlights, AC, etc.).

Yes it is off had full diagnostic done within 24 hours due to past experience with other cars and strange electrical problems will monitor very carefully thanks
