2001 Chevy Cavalier 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

IS THE 4 CYL AND THE 6 CYL ENGINES ON THESE CARS TIMING CHAIN OR BELT AND WILL BOTH MOTORS BEND THE VALVES IF THE BELT OR CHAIN BREAK?
