The car died (SHUT OFF), according to the person I loaned it to the other day, and would not start again.

I pulled the starter checked it and the solenoid, also checked the Starting Relay, and fouynd them to be fully operational. I then checked the Neutral Safety Switch and found it to be good. Then I tried JIGGLING the Ignition Key while I turned it to start the car. Walla! The car started after about ten or so wiggles.

Next I pulled the Ignition Lock Cylinder and noticed it had a small amount of play between the cylinder and the housing as I turned the key. Due to the High Cost of the replacement part (Due to the Anti-theft Chip) plus the shop Fee to reprogram the PROM could you advise me what I could do temporarily until I can raise the $300.00 plus for the parts and Computer Reprogram Fee. Could flushing out the cylinder with JB Blaster or WD-40 poosibly clean out any chips or wear shavings that might be causing an obstruction which prohibits the cr from starting.

I REALLY NEED your help ASAP!!!!!!

Thank You In advance! I've read your site infrequently over the last few months and appreciate your professional responses.

Sincerely,

Ron
