My son has a 1996 chevy cavalier with 2.2 engine and 100,000 plus miles. The car starts and runs great until 50 mph then it spits and sputters and stalls. Diagnostics tests show a po122 error which is throttle position sensor low input, not sure what to do at this point?

Check the voltage output of the tps. At closed throttle it should be around.6 volts, at wide open throtle it should raise to about 5 volts.
