There is so much play in the steering that at this point I am unable to drive it. Its not making any kind of nose at any time. Its just very sloppy and so much play that its difficult to estimate how much I need to rotate the steering wheel in order to make a turn. I'm surprised that I haven't been pulled over for drunk driving do to its almost impossible to keep it straight going down the road.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Debbie

Check front suspension for loose parts, especially inner and outer tie rods, but from what you describe, the steering rack has some broken teeth and would have to be replaced.
