Change from Points to HEI

I have a 1968 camaro 120,000 miles. The motor is a ls4 454 out of a '73 Vette. I would like to change from points to HEI. Except for the limited space problem, how hard is this switch? Also, this car has a TH400 tranny that sometimes leaks fluid through the top of the dipstick tube. What is up with that?

Check the fluid level could be on the hiigh side
Breather vent clogged
Clogged oil filter or screen
Internal fluid leakage

Replace the resistance wire between the ignition switch and the HEI distributor not replaced it will not function correctly due to voltage drop. Resistance wire maintains a voltage of 9volt to the cylinder type coil/s-the HEI needs more than that.
