Engine Mechanical problem
1997 Chevy Camaro 6 cyl Automatic

I was driving my car and heard a noise and my car had stared to miss and chugg. When looked under the hood, it looked like some small hoses and valves had came loose and I could hear air, and smell an oder like gas or exhaust when continue to drive home. So now the car misses and chuggs when idling, or when put it in reverse, or when I accelerate. What is my problem

Lack of acceleration, chugging, hesitating, bogging etc. Could be caused by one of the following below.

Inspect and test all the following listed below and get back with some results

Oxygen sensor.
Catalytic converter.
Fuel injectors dirty/sticking.
Mass airflow sensor/Airflow meter.
Throttle position sensor.
Manifold absolute pressure sensor.
EGR Valve
Fuel pressure regulator leaking or defective fuel pump.
False air leakage.
Fuel contamination.
Foul/defective spark plugs.
Open spark plug wires.
Ignition coil/Coil packs defective.
Incorrect ignition timing.
Cap and rotor.

Note:If it doesn't apply disregard.
