1992 Chevy Camaro transmission wont go into gear

I just put a 350 into a 1992 RS camaro. The engine came out of a little older camaro, I think an 1989, the car it came out of had the same exact transmission and worked with the older camaro. Now that I have put the engine in the 1992 it will not go into gear and only grinds a little. I have pulled it back and put it back together several times. It is aligned correctly and appears to be perfect but still wont go into gear. Any ideas?

Check the slave cylinder for the clutch, it's on the side of the Bellhousing, have someone push down the clutch pedal while you watch slave cylinder, see if you have movement. Let me Know, Good Luck, Lou
