I need help for some reason my battery will not charge I have bought a new alternator thinking it was the problem I thought it could be a voltage regulator but its inside the alternator and I can sometimes mess around with random wires and it will work for a minute an have not found any grounding problems.

If the battery is down, take it off and get it charged. Use a digital multimeter leads across the battery posts. The generic spec for a fully charged battery is around 12.6 volts, everything turned off. Then, start the vehicle, take a second reading across the battery posts, the second reading should be higher than the first, if the charging system is working. I have to start this way, because I don't know what testing you have done?

With everything turned off, the alternator bat terminal, should show battery voltage. If it doesn't, may be an open circuit between alternator and battery. It's also possible, the alternator feed circuits are faulty?
