I have a 1987 s10 that has a 1984 camaro motor in it. My problem is when you crank it (it can only be seen at night) there is fire coming out the wires down at the plugs. Also if I touch the wires I draw fire out of the wires, (its a little glow on my fingers) or if anything that is metal and grounded touches the wires fire will come out. Now it won't shock me there, so I don't understand it. I can touch the coil wire where it plugs on and a little glow will be on my finger. Its like this if something touches the wire, if it just a hair away it won't do it, BUT THE WIRES ARE ALWAYS CLOSE TO SOMETHING METAL UNDER THE HOOD. But it shoots a glow of fire down on the plugs while its running ALL THE TIME. I have replaced the plugs, the wires, distibuter cap, and rotor button, and it still does it. Please help me as soon as you can, thanks.

This is the third set of wires i've tried, and I used that grease on the wires. These are the best wires that napa carries, I also bought the best cap, plugs, and button, thats why I can't figure it out. I can just rub my hand over the distributor cap and that glow will be there as long as I touch it, but it won't shock me. And I have to touch the wires, or something metal touch them for it to do it. I was told by a friend my motor needs grounding, I took a piece electric cord and grounded the motor to the frame and the frame to the body, but it still does this. And if I drive it, it has a hesitation to it. Nobody around here knows what it can be. This is the strangest thing i've ever seen.
