This can be a lot of things, a loose converter a big cam in the engine, a miss in the engine, etc. If it does it at idle and not in gear, take the belt off and start the car up and see if the vibration goes away. If it does then it's a problem up front. If it is still there then it's a converter or flywheel broken or something similar.
I would also check the engine mounts to see if there are collapsed
