My steering wheel is off set like my front end needs aligned, but I've had it aligned more than once and it's not working. With and older chevy S10 I had I just got into the steering box losened up a bolt that allowed me to re position the steering wheel with out it turning the wheels then tightened it back up, it was that simple. I'm wanting to to that with my blazer, but I'm not sure if it will set the air bag off, my s10 did not have an air bag.

Hi there,

Take the car to a dealer and let them re set the steering wheel, the last thing you want is the SRS system to start acting up, this is a job for the dealer.

Hi there,

SRS is a trade term for Supplementary Restraint Systems, this covers Airbags, seatbelt pretensions and the such.

Ok, well, I suppose my only other problem is that I've had it at a dealer and a different trusted mechanic, and I've gotten the same answer, " the aligment is fine, and the steering wheel is in it's right spot and doesn't need reset." But if you drive the car it's obvious that it's not right. Lol what am I supposed to do when no one will help. I'm just gettin tired of spending money on a problem that nobody seems to want to fix.

Hi there.

You will have to locate an independent mechanic with experience on your type of car, take them for a drive and show them the wheel alignment problem, they should be able to re set the wheel, as long as they know what the precautions are re the air bag.
