My check engine light came on. The truck bogged down and there was a strong smell of burnt matches outside the truck. When I take off, the truck misses badly but when up to 50 mph it runs fine. Also fyi the fuel pump has been changed twice in the last year.

A check engine light comes on when the computer senses an electrical problem in motor such as a sensor gone bad to have this checked have the car scanned and the computer will tell you aht the problem is to get vehicle scanned take it to a parts house or to a garage
