My airbag sensor on my 1999 Chevy Blazer is constantly on. I heard that unplugging your battery will fix the problem temporarily, is this true? I am asking because I need to get that light off so I can pass emissions just for right now. Then I will take it to the dealer to be serviced. What can I do to fix this problem temporarily?

Were you told by your emissions tester that it wont pass with an airbag light on? If so, thats not true. It has no effect on your emissions monitors. Im from Connecticut, laws may be different in other states.

No.I was just afraid that if I take it for emissions that it would fail. When I went to the Chevy dealership they told me that it cost me $822 to get it fixed.

I would recommend getting that fixed at somepoint. Dont let that keep you from getting your emissions done. Hope this helps.
