I recently had a new heater coil replaced, radiator flushed, and a new water pupm put in. Now that all of that has been replaced, my blazer is running about 230 degrees. Before I had trouble with the heater coil, it ran about 195 or 200 degrees. Could it be my temp gauge in the dash panel is bad? What could cause this? If I take the thermostat out it runs about 150 but my heat doesn't get real warm. What should I do?

With all the work done to the cooling system, I have to wonder if the thermostat is barely opening. The best way to verify if the gauge is correct is to monitor the temperature with a scan tool and note the temperature reading from the PCM on the scan tool.
