I have a 97 4.3 lt V6 chevy blazer that just died on me on the way to work. Before it died all my gauges did a wacky dance up and down. The tow truck driver thought it might be out of gas but I know there was plenty of gas. We put more fuel in it anyways and it fired up. Although I was able to get it to work it ran very rough and when I came out after my shift it would not start again. I got a jump and it started but backfired some doing it. It still ran very rough and I was unable to go over 30mph and it would die at stopping. I had a friend help me change the fuel filter and pressure check the lines. We were able to get it running but had to pop the air cleaner and remove the filter and then it started. I bought a new air filter and it ran for 1 1/2 days and I came out the next morning and it would crank but not start. Thinking I may ran the battery down I found someone to try and jump start it. This did not work although someone told me to disconnect the battery and then reconnect it to reset I think the ECM. This actually worked but it won't stay started. I am getting fuel pressure at about 55 to 60 psi. What should I look for next I was thinking it has something to do with the air filtering system or throttle. Please Advise.
