95 blazer has been sitting for 1 yr. I put a New battery in and it started right up. I drove on the highway for 75 miles, when I got to the city the blinkers started to fade. Then the truck just turned off. I jump started it fine, but the moment I put it in drive it stalled out. I found out my alternator is good, but for some reason my battery is still being drained? My speedometor is disconnected, could that have anything to do with the battery power being drained? Why wont it run?

I'd have to check the battery and charging system. You shouldn't try to charge a dead battery with the alternator. Even if the alternator is good, can you tell if the battery is receiving the charge?

With everything turned off, you can check for an amp draw at the battery. I don't have the exact specs for your vehicle, generic info says.050 amp draw. A 1/2 amp is.5 so you can see the first spec is no where close to a 1/2 amp. If it is drawing excessive amps, you can check for a lite somewhere that stays on, pull fuses one at a time, till the spec drops.
