1984 Chevy Blazer TIMING

I CAN'T GET THIS THING RIGHT. I HAVE THE TIMING AT 4 DEGRES ABOVE TOP DEAD CENTER LIKE IT SAYS TO. WHEN IDALING IS FINE BUT PUT IN GEAR AND GIVE IT GAS AND IT FALLS ON ITS FACE. WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM

Did you disconnect the brown wire plug in before you timed it

Its either on the fire wall on the passenger side. Its a one wire connector, or its located on the passenger floor where the carpet starts
