1995 Chevy Beretta 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 94k miles

Hi I have a 1995 beretta w/ a 3.1 v6. I was on my way home from work and he battery light came on, temp gauge went up and lost power steering, so I figured the serpintine belt was shot. When I pulled over and looked the belt was fine but it was loose so the only other thing it could be would be the belt tensioner right? If so I have head that you have to go thru the wheel well which sounds right because theres not alot of room, but I have read some places that the engine needs to be jacked up and the motor mount needs to be taken off, is that true? Whats the easiest way to change a belt tensioner on this.

I just changed mine and yes you have to go thru the wheel well but no I didnt have to touch the motor mount. All you need is a wrench to get in there and maybe another wrench to connect to it to get good leverage. Break the bolt free, take it out and pull the tensioner out.
