When I hook up my odbII actron scanner to the truck's data link, it will not excite it. I turned the ignition to the on position, and it still does nothing. So I of course cannot read the code that the computer is currently storing. I have check all the fuses on the fuse block in the engine compartment and the fuse block located on the drivers side panel. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Go to the aldl and take a test light asn see if it is getting power, I forget which one supplies it. YOu'll have to probe each one. If it is then check to see if you have a battery in your tester that may be bad. Also make sure you have a good connection with your tester.

Thanks for the help. What to let all know that I did have a blown fuse; the Cigarrette lighter fuse. Did not care about it so never replaced that fuse. Welll I found out after replacing that fuse that it is shared with the power that goes to the aldl.
