1994 Chevy Astro No Speedomter and no shifting

I don't know what happened. All of a sudden the speedometer stopped, then the van wasn't shifting gears, I replaced the VSS and disconnected the battery to reset errors. The car still won't shift. Trans fluid was changed last year and filter, proper fluid levels.

It soundslike the problem is coming from the VSS. If you replaced it, you need to start tracing wiring to make sure nothing is damaged or disconnected.
