Hi, my car battery is dead and I bought a charger new off line. Usually I remove battery take in the house and charge but instead I want to know if I can keep the battery connected to car and put it on charge. Thank you

Good morning,

Yes, you can. I would remove the cables first and then attach the charger to the battery.

Remove the negative cable first and then the positive. when reinstalling, positive first and negative last. The negative cable is always the first one off and the last one on.

Thank you for fast reply. Do the charger cables have to be put on the battery in a particular way?

Usually there are instructions but if there is not, the red lead will go the positive cable. On top of the battery there should be markings with a big plus sign for positive and the other is the negative.
