Changing brake shoes

I am mechanically inclined just wanting to know if I can change the brake pads on the Beamer without taking it to the dealer

Well your brakes are a big safety and BMW brakes come with sensors and reset procedures. And if your saying that you are mechanically incline. I would just take it to the dealer or a good mechanic shop just to be safe.
