Will not start and code P0741

I put the key in the ignition and turned it, I get no sound nothing, so I put my car computer reader on it, and it gives me the code P0741. This is the code for your TCC solenoid stuck off. So, I went into the engine compartment to locate the solenoid and tried to locate it and could not find it. Where is this located and if I do find and change it should the car turn on?

Hi,

The torque converter solenoid is in the transmission. See pic 1. This will not prevent the vehicle from starting.

Since nothing happens when you turn the key, first see if it will start in neutral. If there is no change, I need you to check for power at the starter motor.

At the starter, you will see a heavy gauge solid black wire. That wire will have 12v at all times so be careful not to short it.

There will be a smaller wire that is black with a white tracer. That wire should only have power when the key is in the start position. Have a helper turn the key to start while you check that wire for power.

Let me know what you find. Also, I attached the wiring schematic below for your reference.
