Replaced battery, car would not start if it sat overnight or for a few hours. Replaced the alternator and a corroded connector to the alternator.
Car starts and once you start driving it all the warning lights go off and as soon as you shut it off, it won’t start again.

Hi,

When you say all the lights, are you referring to the check engine, alternator, ABS, stability control, and so on? Does the engine continue running when this happens? When it won't restart, does the starter still engage or does nothing happen when you try? Does it eventually start after this happens or is there something you need to do for it to restart? How long does it take until the light comes on? Is it possible for you to record what is happening in a short video and upload it for me to see?

Let me know.

Joe

Yes, those are the lights I am referring to. The engine does still run when these lights come on. When we shut it off and then go to restart it, it clicks but won’t restart. We have to boost it and it starts ASAP. We have can have it running while in park and the lights do not come on as soon as we start driving it, within about 5 minutes and then the lights come on.

Hi,

Do me a favor, I need you to check alternator output. I have a feeling it's not charging or not charging properly. Something is happening. Also, make sure the battery terminals are clean and tight, free of corrosion.

Try that and let me know what you find. I may need you to continue testing it until the lights come on. If you can't do that, I need you to check the battery voltage when it won't start.

Let me know.
