When I'm putting my car into D it won't do. Most times it takes a second to go into D other times it takes a while. I was told to get my transmission service, but a flush will mess up the car. I told to get some Seafoam Transmission Addctive. I don't know what to do. I don't want to mess up my car. What should I do? Please help.

Have a trans guy look at it. The trans may be on it's way out if fluid is low put it back to full but check when transmission is warm so drive at least 10-15 miles.

The car wrong transmission fluid was drained and replaced with the right transmission fluid. Seafoam transmission additive was added too. Will this fix the problem?
