I am doing research on what cars I would like to purchase. So far I have two in mind. I am just looking for some mechanic intuition. I am looking at either a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt LS or a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt SS. The 2010 has 83,000 miles with a 2.2 L 4-cylinder and five speed transmission. The 2006 SS is the 2.0 supercharged with a manual transmission and roughly 90,000 miles. I am looking more at the SS because of the options that it has available. My question is, how reliable and how long will a supercharged 2.0L engine last versus a 2.2L N/A. Now, I understand that it would be dependent on how well the vehicles were taken care of, but let's go for best case scenario.

In my general experience, NA cars give fewer expensive problems down the road, where supercharged and turbocharged engines can be pricey to do anything on. Of course you get more smiles per mile with a supercharger. Basically, I would generally opt for the NA engine myself.
