My spoiler with the third brake light fell off, I was unaware I needed that third brake light to pass inspection. The inspector place was unable to do the body work to attach it, he gave me a body shop recommendation but I was wondering if this was something I could do on my own with adhesive/clamps? I can safely attach it so it does not fly off and the brake light still works. Do I have to get it done professionally for it to pass inspection?

Good afternoon.

The repair must be done so it is safe and installed in the same location. It will be up to the inspection station as to whether they think it is a safe repair.

Try and remount it in the same location and position.
