Can you replace just the throttle position sensor, or do you have to get the throttle body that comes with the sensor on it?

Hi,

I need to know the engine size to determine what can be done. Also, I know there was a warranty extension on the throttle body for the 4-cylinder, but it was only to 120,000 or ten years.

Here is the thing. There were two different designs used. One was from Bosch, and one was from Hitachi. The Bosh one will require the replacement of the assembly. I believe there is a repair kit.

I attached info below for you to review. Let me know if you know the type of throttle body on the vehicle and the engine size. Keep in mind, if you do have the 4-cylinder, the info I provided is relevant. If you have the V6, the TPS can be replaced. See the remaining pics for the procedure.

Take care,

Joe
