While going down the road in my 99 Firebird I will go from a lower RPM range to a higher one and the engine misses.I've replaced plugs and wires in the last month.I put iridium plugs in it.I have upgraded the coils to a higher heat range.I was wondering if the BCM could be getting flaky and occasionally activating the security system for a split second and then turn it off

Hmm. Check around for vacuum leaks and do a fuel pressure test.

Try putting the old coils back on and see if that changes anything.
