I have been looking for 6 weeks now and the dealer as well with no luck. Maybe you guys could help me. What I have is a 1982 chevy 1 ton k30 dually with a 4 speed 4x4. I would say this is a calif pickup cause I see a egr valve. There is a emission sticker on the air filter houesing that has bold letters CAC 7.4 liter A.I.R. So I know it has a air pump. What I can not find is the emisson hose routing. I have one but shows no egr valve. There is no sticker of the hose routing under the hood. Can you guys help? V.I.N.1gchk34w8cj103873

In 1982 that truck did not have an EGR until 1985 because it is considered heavy duty. The two vacuum diagrams which are California the first one and Federal the second support this that is why you can't find it.

If you are looking for gas mileage a 7.4L isn't the one to do it. Will it tow hell ya, just keep it tuned as best as possible. Don't drive with foot through the gas pedal. Towing a camper shold be about 8 mpg up to a 32 foot camper
