2005 Cadillac STS traction control

Hi I bought a used cadillac sts 2005 over 3 months ago and it was working perfect. But one day when it was raining then traction control turn on and has been making my car go slow. I took itto the mechanic and the said the accelartor wasnt working when I bought the part and replace it it still was going slow. Sometimes the traction control turns off but when your driving for a while it comes back on. Do you know whats wrong with it?

If the traction light is coming on, it should be setting a code. If it is setting the same code as before the APP was replaced, then it may be a related circuit fault. If you have that code #, reply to post and I may be able to offer some suggestions. The code will narrow down the possibilities, as they are numerous.
