What is your voltage going into the coil-I assumed its an HEI system or whatever

Didnt check hooked up conversion kit as per instructions and set up gap the instructions said there is a notch near one of the studs but I have four. I have no spark

You should have just bought a mallory Ign or something in that order, would have been easier
