Just noticed that the rear of the car is setting up much higher. In other words the car is not level. Lower in the front and higher in the rear. Car sounds different and the rid is rough.

Don't know that the sounding different would relate, the ride is due to the fact of the ALC system not exhausting. This can be either to an exhaust solenoid(which is part of compressor) not releasing, or a fault within the sensor/circuit that is still conveying that the rear is too low. Therefore it is making adjustments to get the height correct, but nothing is telling it when it is correct. Typically, this is most easiest diagnosed with a scan tool.
