Electrical problem
1994 Cadillac Deville V8 Automatic

My battery will not stay chaged. I have replaced the battery and alternator. There was a short in the alternator wire and the mechnic spliced it and the car ran fine for a while. The same prblem is back. Battery wont stay charged. I think I need to have the alternator wiring checked. What does that entail? Cost, time, effort? Any suggestions.

Have the charge output tested, and the battery charged and tested. If that shows no problems, and the system is charging, you could have a drain that is acting on the battery when it sits.
