my car starts out in 2nd gear and has no od can you help

This is all the information I show for a fault, for second gear starts.
2ND Gear Starts

Control valve assembly has stuck 1-2 shift valve.

The valve body is in the side pan of the trans. I would assume it could be a faulty shift solenoid as well. I don't see what kind of mileage you have on the vehicle, so I would have to enter the trans with an open mind.
