This is the 3rd alter. In 1 1/2 weeks. The battery is new. The voltage was 14.5 before, then I noticed that the engine compartment light wasnt as bright. Rechecked the alter. And it showed 12 volts. After I turned the heat and the headlights on. The onboard diagnostic shows code 16. Noone seems to know what the problem is. There are no fusible links from the alternator, no fuses blown and an ammeter test was done and showed nothing. Neg. Ground wires were cleaned and checked.

No everything in the car is still factory. The xmission is the only thing that has been replaced because it sat for a while. However. It was running fine before these problems happened.I just now replaced the connector that plugs into the alternator, started the car. Everything ran 14.5. I turned the headlights and the defrost on (i need those in the morning for work) rechecked the voltage again and it dropped to around 10.5-11 volts.

there is your problem, autozone sucks for parts, go buy one from napa or the dealer, autozone is only good for fluids and such, you only get what you pay for, now your doing it a 4th time, sorry to say
