1994 Buick Skylark Service Engine Light

How do I turn off the "service engine light soon" light. The mechanic has changed the EGR module and rinstalled a remanfactured computer. The light only comes on at freeway speeds when I slow down. Wehn I turn the car off and let it sit for a few minutes and start the car the light service light is off. This only happens at freeway speeds.

You can take the negative battery loose for several seconds. If you do that, you may loose some memory settings, clock, radio settings, the computer may forget how to idle. It usually doesn't take long for the idle to straighten out.
