I am looking at buying a 1992 Buick Skylark with 54,000 miles. The problem is it stalls out, usually after it has been running awhile. Some one I know said it is the air intake valve. Does this sound correct. I have tried to search for this part to get a price but have no luck.

I appreciate any insight you can give me!
Thanks

Try looking for IAC valve(Idle Air Control). I believe it is located on the throttle body. My 94 required a sequence before starting the car after installation. 5 sec with ignition on, 10 sec with ignition off, then start.

It could correct the stalling problem, but there are too many variables to say for sure.
