I’m having trouble with the shifting. It does not seem to be slipping as much not wanting to find the gear. I changed the oil, filter and cleaned the pan. The oil was not burnt and pan only had normal material on the magnet. I’m thanking it’s a solenoid. I got the Auto Trans kick Down Solenoid (S8949) and the Auto Trans Control Solenoid (S9857). I asked if these were internal and was told no. They had no book on this car. All I can find is the speed control sensor. My question is, I’m I going in the right direction? Where are these solenoid’s, under a cover? Or is it something else?

There is no trans kick-down solenoid, and the auto trans control solenoid is what I would assume to be the pressure control solenoid. The pressure control solenoid is in under the side cover, in the upper control valve body.
There are a total of four solenoids, all of which are internal, in the side cover.
