It has done this about 4 times over then last 2 weeks. You turn the key and nothing happens. I turned on the headlights to see how they responded when turning the key. None of the dash lights or headlights dim at all while turning the key. Before when this happened, I was able to take the car out of park and move the gear shift across all the positions a few times and also roll the car a little and throw it back into park and then it would start. This time it's not working. Can you help?

Hello, did you try cranking in neutral, maybe a problem with the neutral switch? If you watched the headlites or dash lites with the key in the crank position, and the lites stayed bright, no reaction and no starter action, it doesn't sound like there is any load on the starter system. You still need to be sure the battery has a full charge and the connections are good.

I have tried starting it in neutral with no luck. Is there any way to bypass the neutral switch on a temporary basis?

Because of the safety issues, I don't think bypassing the switch is a good idea.
