MY 92 PARK AVE WON'T START AFTER SITTING OVER NIGHT. IF I MOVE THE SHIFTER LEVEL, SOMETIMES IT WILL START. I PUT IT IN NEUTRAL, IT WILL START.I CAN GO TO THE STORE AND LET IT SIT FOR AN HOUR OR TWO, IT WILL START. IT HAS A NEW BATTERY, I'M THINKING NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH. I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY I WON'T START WHEN I SITS FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME? THIS BABY IS A CRUISER

It does sound a lot like the cause of a bad neutral saftey switch but it does also sound like you have a stuck commutator in your starter. When it doesn't start does it make any kind of screaching noise?
