Labor rates on a valve job will vary widely, depending on the shop. But the job should come in around $500 per head (not including labor to replace your old heads), which is ABSOLUTELY NOT worth it.

Your engine has way too many miles on it to have a valve job done. (Think about what condition the rest of your motor is in)

This would be like giving a 30-year drug addict a new liver. What good would it do him/her?

If you shop around at a few junk yards, you might be able to find a used motor with 30K miles for about $500-600 bucks. Intallation will run you another $500 or so. This will usually come with a 12-month/12K mile warranty. (Make sure to negotiate this point)

This makes much more sense than spending over a thousand dollars on an engine that probably only has a couple thousand miles left in it anyway.
