CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR ("A", "C", "E", "H" & "H" BODIES - VIN "B", "E" & "L")

Removal
1.Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove serpentine belt. Raise vehicle on hoist.

2.Remove inner fender splash shield. Remove crankshaft balancer bolt.

3.On "A" and "E" bodies, slide balance toward right fender/cradle.

4.On "C", "H" and "N" bodies, remove crankshaft balancer.

5.On all models, remove crankshaft sensor mounting bolts. Remove sensor. Disconnect crankshaft sensor harness connector.
Installation
To install reverse removal procedure. Tighten sensor bolts to 22 ft. lbs. (30 N.m) and crankshaft balancer bolt to 200 ft. lbs. (270 N.m). Ensure "T" latch on sensor harness connector is properly engaged.
