Greetings:
My service engine light came on, so I had the car checked out. The mechanic informed me it was nothing wrong with the car, but my car's computer was throwing out "history codes" which the mechanic corrected. Three weeks to a month later the service engine light comes on, intermittently and now constant. Could this be the same reason as before? I take good care of my car so I am concerned when any light comes on. In fact, I am due for an oil change I'll get done either today or Thursday. Thank you

If it has been a month, that is not "history codes". Can you get the computer scanned and give us the "new" codes?

I have the same year and model as you do and occassionally one or more of my lights will come up and go off. Sometimes it will say "check engine" sometimes it will light up my air bag light. Sometimes it will bring up the "Security" light. The only one I have found to be accurate is the "low tire" light.

I wonder if it is just our year and model.
