I have a buick century, it need a new head gasket how hard is that to change? Also since the engine will broke down this far what else could I could I put on the engine to make it better?

Its very common to mistake the intake with headgasket
have the intake manifold check

its all about money and how much u r willing to spend
to go with a new engine of course its better !
But here is the catch u have to reuse, manifolds, covers and oil pan and so on...

If u have the plastic manifold u should have that checked
