I replaced the fuel pump, sending unit and filter after having my car die along side of the freeway here in MI. After installing all of these components, the car started up fine and has a good idle. When accelerating there is hesitation and check engine light. When the car reaches approx. 25-30 it seems to run ok and engine light shuts off. I checked the flash codes and was given code 26/qdm. Ive never had a problem before all of this. My question is how can I test for sure that it is the ecm, or could it be something else that could be causing the fault? If there any ideas, they will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello,

Did you ever find out what the problem was with your 93 Buick? I'm having the same problem. I was told that it might be the cat.

Replaced the maf, car runs great. Did not give a flash code. Now am having problems with fuel not staying pressurized in the line when the vehicle is turned off?

Thanks for replying with your maf fix. I have also determined that to be my problem.

While trying to figure it out I did a fuel pressure test on my vehicle and got the same results as you. The fuel system losing presure after the engine is off and sitting for a while.

This must be common because other than the pressure dropping to zero after sitting while off, the car starts and runs fine.
